Hello, fellow designers and foreigners!
Welcome to the results of annual research about UX/UI/Product/WEB designers of Ukraine.
It is the first time we are preparing this report in English, although the research is already happening for the fifth year in a row.
Let us share the goals of the discovery first.
- To showcase our presence and variety
—It all started with a personal pain point — the absence of knowledge about the industry. There were just assumptions not backed with actual data. Now you can find your senses and build or update your professional vision based on metrics that you will find in this report. - To present the actual data firsthand, even anonymous
— It is possible to get depersonalized data by request. Please don’t hesitate to reach out, and we will be more than happy to share it in a suitable format. Here is an example — one of the respondents requested his answers for each of the years to analyze his growth. - Creating a professional community

— It is mainly about the massive list of expertise and methodologies that are still new for most professionals. So in case you didn’t know about some of those, we invite you to google them, learn more and become even better professionals. - To retain the general voice of design specialists
— Time is flying, and we are building a kind of chronicle. Only a small amount of real-time data is saved, and we would like to change it. - Educational goal
— Those results are a go-to opportunity to improve hard skills and self-educate.
P.S. Interface design knowledge base doesn’t change much during the last 20 years. There is a lot of basic knowledge in books and networks. In most cases, so-called ‘new approaches’ are renamed existing ones to promote and sell later. - Long-term planning and analysis of the career growth opportunities
